The Farmer City Police Department is a full service full time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) Police Department consisting of five full time police officers and two part time officer. The Farmer City Police Department provides police protection and services to the citizens of Farmer City, Illinois, a thriving community of approximately 2100 people located in Dewitt County. The Farmer City Police Department also has a School Resource Officer that serves the Blue Ridge CUSD#18 School District in both Farmer City and Mansfield.
Farmer City is located halfway between Champaign, IL and Bloomington, IL on Interstate 74 in Central Illinois. Farmer City is home to more than 200 local businesses, including the Farmer City Raceway, Remington Seeds, and Farmer City BMX just to name a few.
Through proactive enforcement of traffic laws, criminal laws, and city ordinances, the Farmer City Police Department protects residents, innocent motorists, pedestrians, and personal property from reckless drivers, careless or unsafe drivers, unlicensed drivers, drunk drivers, and criminals.
The Farmer City Police Department works with the community to bring the police department and the community together to facilitate a better understanding of what the department does through the organizing of events, attending of community events, and participating in everyday activities in our community.
The Farmer City Police Department has a full time School Resource Officer that works in the Blue Ridge CUSD #18 School District. Protecting the children, faculty, and staff of our school district, as well as encouraging a positive relationship with the school district is a priority of the Farmer City Police Department.
